The Whitney was built in 1894 for lumber baron David Whitney and is located on Woodward Avenue in Detroit. The mansion has 21,000 square feet, 52 rooms, 218 windows and 20 fireplaces. The original cost of construction was $400,000.00. It's been a restaurant since 1986. I love the metal sculpture they've recently added to the front.
