Expect The Unexpected

One thing I've learned about the "D" is to expect the unexpected. I've seen this guy several times at the market, always dressed in Scottish garb minus the bagpipes. The best I could get was this partial view, but in a way, I like the emphasis better. I processed this in silver efex pro2 in a Noir filter to bring out some additional drama. Half the fun sometimes is the processing.

  1. Interesting for sure! Nicely done!

  2. It takes all kinds, doesn’t it? 🙂 Perfect processing for this.

  3. He’s definitely not in Kansas anymore! Nice shot Cathy!

  4. What a truly great image, Cathy, very very dramatic! Love the processing; B&W is spot on for this shot, it really adds a big dash of drama to the recipe! Love it!

  5. This is a very interesting photo.
All the mixture thrown together… plus the bag with painting of La Catrina by Mexican artist José Guadalupe Posada.
    Weird stuff all around.

  6. Talk about impact . . . and creative cropping/framing! Beautifully envisioned, captured and processed. I was creating my own little caption while looking at your image and then I read yours. That’s what wonderful images do; they stimulate imagination and create stories.

  7. Wonderful shot!
    I like this B&W effect.

I certainly agree with you about processing, it’s as much fun as capturing the image. Often, I can hardly wait to process, just to see how things will turn out.

    Creativity at it’s best!

  8. Thanks so much Jimi…I really appreciate your kind words!
